Back To Work

Well, I'm a married man now.   The love of my life is flying back with me from a honeymoon spent in Las Vegas.  I wasn't very impressed with the city.  It felt like everything was designed to extract the most possible money from you in every aspect of your visit: from the rooms having neither a coffeepot nor a refrigerator, to the insane room tax ($32/night), to a bottle of water putting airport costs to shame at $6.

Needless to say, I am coming home with a far greater appreciation for the value we have in Montana.  And I won't be going to Vegas again anytime soon, despite us enjoying ourselves.

Over the next few days, we're going to be working at thanking all the parties involved in helping us get hitched, getting moved into an off-season vacation rental, and getting ready to get back to work on the house and Sulema at her job.

I'll be weighing the two remaining quarters I have for sale and will be marketing them this week.  I have a couple yearling bulls I'll be castrating and two more steers go to the butcher next month!

We'll start prepping for planting next month as April will begin with spring planting.  We're going to late plant dill this year in hopes of having better weed control.   Dad is considering buying a semi load of heifer or steer calves to put to grass on the farm and have me intensive graze them in lieu of perhaps a winter feeding program.

Mostly, I'm excited to get home and start life with my Sulema!

 See you all soon!!

 Be blessed,

Kenny
